History

Richard J. Collins founded R. J. Collins Incorporated in 1998.  The strength of R. J. Collins is thirty years of experience in horizontal, billet and ingot casting technologies.

Goal

The goal of this company is to “Optimize DC Casting” by helping reduce scrap rates and improve the overall billet casting productivity of its customers.

 

Rich Collins is well known around the world for guiding DC Casting producers to get the most out of their casting operations.  Preventative techniques, training and troubleshooting are services the company offers.  Rich visited hundreds of casting plants worldwide.  His professional experience includes 27 years at Wagstaff where he held positions of:

  • sales manager,
  • project engineer,
  • technical service manager,
  • billet research team leader.

He is the inventor or co-inventor of the several DC Casting related patents:
