Accu-Set™ Mold Calibration System
The Accu-Set™ Mold Calibration System retrofit delivers precise airflows to each mold at high pressure so that all billets go into air-cast mode immediately during cast start. When the air pressure ramps down to run pressure, every billet has a very uniform smooth surface with little to no bubbling from the thimble. The retrofit benefits are less billet scrap, fewer bleed-outs and plug-offs, less pit cleanings, improved operator safety, fewer mold changes, easier skull removal, and increased life from consumables such as graphite rings, transition plates, thimbles and trough linings.

One plant reported, “This was the very best return on investment that was ever made in the casthouse.” Start-up assistance is provided with this product.

| Dry Air Pressure Supply and Control System |
The Dry Air Pressure Supply and Control System supplies high air pressure to the Accu-Set™ Mold Calibration System, if needed. For customers with an existing dry air supply, the system includes a pressure booster pump, a proportional control valve and a mold table feedback pressure transducer. The booster pump only operates during calibration or during the start phase of the cast. The control valve, using the casting recipe and transducer feedback, insures that the correct air pressure is being maintained at the mold table during all phases of the casting process. The addition of an air dryer is required for customers using a gas mixing system. This dryer eliminates all the problems, safety concerns and expenses associated with mixing oxygen with argon or nitrogen gases.

Accu-Test™ Casting Ring Testing System With Computer Interface
The Accu-Test™ Casting Ring Testing System measures the total air and uniformity flow of a graphite ring. Based on recommended minimum airflow criteria, this system measures the integrity of the ring before the mold is installed and each time it is removed from service to determine if the ring needs to be replaced. Periodic testing is critical for monitoring the life, performance and failure mode of the graphite ring and to troubleshoot casting problems. This system makes it easy to do. After connecting the mold to the system, total airflow will be displayed on one meter. On another meter, the uniformity flow of twenty equally spaced points around the ring is intermittently displayed. The Accu-Test™ Casting Ring Testing System also includes software that automatically inputs the testing data directly into a computer.
This program stores all testing data by mold size and number and displays graphs showing uniformity and total airflow of all tests taken. Start-up assistance is provided with this product and includes the software disk and cables necessary to connect to the USB port of a customer supplied computer.

| Mold Table Oil Injector Retrofit |
R. J. Collins Incorporated has developed an economical oil injector retrofit that solves problems associated with the original manufacturer's design. Our retrofit injectors are less prone to leak because there are fewer joints. They are easier to install because the tubing between injectors does not need to be disconnected. It is easier to replace a mold because the tubing is straight between the injectors. The costs are lower because there are fewer parts to inventory and they are less expensive.
Only two replacement injectors are required. One will fit all 6” (152 mm) tables and the other will fit all tables 7” (178 mm) and larger. Either replacement injector will install into the table's single or double injector assembly.
